Research Interests
I am a PhD student in the Department of Language Science and Technology at Saarland University, working in the Spoken Language Systems group under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dietrich Klakow. My research interests focus on the application of machine learning and deep learning in healthcare.
My current focus is on protein design using protein language modeling, with the overarching goal of designing novel proteins for antibiotic synthesis. Recent advances in language models enable the design of rational protein sequences with specific biochemical properties, which can help tackle the global antibiotic crisis.
Previously, I obtained a Master’s degree in Language Science and Technology from Saarland University, where my thesis and research centered on applying deep learning to the modeling and detection of dysarthric speech in neurodegenerative diseases.
